dont know if its just my scaner playing silly buggers but it says that the new divx update has a trojen 32/ virus

which dose seem a bit odd to me but if anyone else is getting this or not please let me know

not sure if this is the right place for this if not then im sorry

Using Nod32 are you? This app has had a few "issues" from time to time. If your update is from a reliable source, then all should be ok.

its from the divx site it self which is why i though it was a bit funny how there would be a virus on it

Your antivirus software is probably showing a "false positive". If you've had no reason to worry with other updates, then just go ahead and install.

i've just gone back to divx.com and it isnt picking up any virus so i've updateded divx and everything is still running fine sorry for wasteing your time

Good to hear all is ok with the world again pomp3y, and you didn't waste anyone's time.
Now wouldn't it have been interesting if all updates DID have a Trojan etc? You could've had your "fifteen minutes of fame" (an old Andy Warhol expression, if your old enough..lol)
