I am new here. I was wondering what I needed for the FreeMCBoot thing. I have been reading up on it and am getting confused because there is so many uses for it.lol..
I was also wondering what I needed to play backed up games... seeing as how I have a 2 year old and a 6 year old.Will I be able to play my backed up games with FMCB? or do I need to get some other stuff?
I have a version 10 PS2 not modded. Will I need a fliptop? etc... At this moment I am like switching back and forth between this forum and 2 or 3 other forums trying to figure it out so I am not done reading and learning yet. I have been at it for probably 3 weeks now. Between googling and forums.
Google is my friend I use it alot when I am stumped and it has helped me solve my problems 100% of the time...lol..

I am probably going to have someone install for me as I don't wanna mess it up and my husband screams Bloody M***er because he cannot play Madden 'o8...lol. I have pretty much good knowledge of computers,but not PS2's although I love to play my games (eg. GOW, Final Fantasy,etc.)
So I will need:
1.)Fliptop
2.)PS1 Game (Hopefully I still have 1...lol. If not I will go to gamestop and get one.)
3.)SwapMagic or HdAdvance/Hdl or USBExtreme?
Number 3 is pretty much a question..sorry, because on the tuts at skapps they have so many ways to get on memory card it gets confusing at times. I think I read the whole section on there including the forum and Freevast about 20 times already just to make sure I am able to do it right. Not done searching and learning yet.
I am one of those people who will not give up on a project until I can figure it for myself and get it right.I was also wondering if A MyBook 1 TB could be used? Thank You very much for being there.

Ok so I gather you will have a friend do the install to mc for you.
So if that is the case you have a couple choices.
Basically just read every step exactly and follow it. You will be kind of be going back and forth between the 2 tutorials as one explains what to put it the INSTALL, and the other tells you how to install to mc.
I hope I am not being confusing. If I am just ask again.
I am not sure if that "MyBook 1 TB " will be recognized by uLe or Swap Magic or not. Sometimes you just have to try it.
It would have to be formatted as "FAT32"
If it doesn't work just get a 1GB Kingston, or Lexar should work.
