My DS Lite screens turn black when choosing multimedia

Well, as the subject hints, everytime I choose multimedia to play my mp3s both screens turn black. I have to turn the power off to be able to continue using the console. I use a R4 Revolution for DS 2Gb card, and it was perfectly ok to play mp3 up until now. Any hints would be much appreciated!
