Hi..hope this is the right place to post this. So anyways, here goes..

A friend of mine lent me his PS2(Slim). Sadly, he did not have the mem card for it. I noticed it's got two usb ports in the front. I was wondering if it is possible to compensate a pendrive for the mem card to save savegames and game profiles? Just so you know, I don't know squat about the ps2 hacking and stuff.

There are no games that saves to the usb. Its just the memory card.
What you can do however with a pendirve is copy saves from memorycard to pendrive to pc and viceversa with a cheat disc like Armax.

i dont want to store games on the USB. I want to know if the pendrive could be used in lieu of the memory card since I dont have one. Is it possible to install some software into the USB pendrive and stick into the usb port of the ps2 so that the PS2 "thinks" there is a memory card connected?

This armax software you mentioned..can that be used? If so, how do I go about it

I know what you are saying. I just mentioned it because it is one of the few possible uses a pendirve has to a ps2. The hack you are looking for doesnt exist. Only a memory card be it by sony or third-party made can be use to save games.
