When i add files in NV is there a way to set end of disc space? It seems to set it automatically for you.

Do you mean enter a custom size, for example 2.345GB or something like that for your final disc? I don't think that is possible if you want to create a DVD, from what I know you only have the choice of mini DVD, DVD and DL DVD. What would be the use of a custom size?

Yes that is what I was talking about. I was just being cheap. My rw disc are freezing at end of movie. I was thinking it was damage by outter edge. You can see and feel it on the disc. I just wanted to finish the burn further from edge.I could not fine away so I thought I might have been overlooking it. I normally do that!!!! Thanks B2R

Okay, after playing with it a bit more, I found out that it actually does have options to reduce final size.

I have Nero 7, might be a bit different with other versions.
If you choose "Make DVD-Video", after you add your videos, under More->Video Options-> DVD-Video, you can adjust the quality settings. Choose "Custom" and it will let you change the bit rate. Play with that, different values and position the disc space indicator bar where you want it.

If instead you choose "Make Movie", after you add your videos export it using as a template DVD. Click on "Configure" tab, and here you will have the quality settings, with an extra option, "Target Size".
