i always used one version or another of dvd decrypter to make backups of my dvds and found different guides or information on what settings to change, etc. to make exact copies of dvd-9's. i have had to since reformat and lost everything. i have dvd decrypter 3.5.4.0 now and cannot seem to find guides or the information i'm looking for. i'd like to keep using dvd decrypter if at all possible due to the ease and making exact duplicates with one program. this is all i ever do. i don't need or get into anything fancy. anyone know where i can find a guide or know how to tweak it to do what i want or know of another simple one program does it all?

I like this guide.
Especially helpful for demuxing chapters.

i don't see any version affiliation with this guide or will it work with any version? i tried using a guide from an older version of dvd decrypter and it must of not included something because i was not able to successfully create a backup of a dual layer disc.

If by backup, you mean burn to dual layer - use ImgBurn (the successor to the long defunct DVD Decrypter)

ImgBurn is a 'burning only' program.

For ripping, 'DVDFab HD Decrypter', is updated regularly.

lol, i didn't know there was a difference nor, what it is. what i do is make exact duplicates of movies and such which are usually over 4.7 gigs and have copy protection etc. onto a dl dvd. with my old setup of dvd decrypter i would be able to copy the disc and then put in either a 4.7 or dl disc, (according to the original) and make an exact copy.
