hello to all. i am trying to rip just the audio from a dvd to play on my mp3 player..can anyone point me in the right direction...thanks

I could point you at the newbie forum or the audio forum.


DVD decrypter will rip just the audio which you will then need to convert to MP3 with the likes of Besweet.

Do a google search for DVDAudio Extractor v1.1.3. Maybe you'll get lucky and find a trial version.

Or, if you don't want to spend a dime, but don't mind wasting some time out of your day, you can rip the DVD to mpeg. Then play the mpeg using Windows Media Player. While it is playing, use your free sound recorder software that comes with your soundcard. Like I have a Creative Soundblaster soundcard. So, I would use my Creative sound recorder that came with the drivers disc. After you're done recording, you'll end up with a wav file. Just convert the wave file using any free mp3 to wav converter. Check www.zdnet.com, they have a lot of free software that can help.

Nonsense... use one of these FREE applications to save the sound coming from whatever software you use to play the DVD on your computer to either MP3 or a WAV file and then burn to CD...
