The way in which the movie is held will be the same. DVD-R --> read to hard Drive --> re-burn using DVD RAM drive.

dvd-r has its files in the video_ts folder. i want to write the data on dvd-ram in the dvd_rtav folder, because just in this way i can use the dvd in a dvd-recorder

do as Chris explained then :

VOB/BUP/IFO files from VIDEO_TS to HDD

then add them to dvd_rtav (would imagine thats in CAPS , but not conversant with RAM so I will let you figure that out)

I believe you had been answered correctly ratzinger

ok. i copied VOB,BUP,IFO files from VIDEO_TS to my HDD.
to play them on a dvd-recorder i need VR_MANGR.BUP,VR_MANGR.IFO and VR_MOVIE.VRO.
what should i do next?
copy them into dvd_rtav folder on the dvd-ram doesn't work(filename and -type are different).

Yeah was thinking about that myself there. I wonder if IFOEdit will allow creation of those files?

This is a page on comments of Panasonic DVD Recorder and in particular thew mention of VRO file extension.
(dunno what brand/make of dvd recorder you have ratz but do a search on that site & it will no doubt help you to find out what pthers have used for RAM)

It would seem our ol' marvelous proggie TMPGEnc DVD Author comes up trumps again !!:-)
