When I play Fatal Frame 2 in HDloader 0.8c the sound gets stuck in a half second loop (Meaning it plays the first half second of back ground music over and over again forever. Think of a gun noise crash in doom where it just kept making the noise except the game keeps playing as if nothing is wrong.) It was semi rare and a minor annoyance with my 40GB but I upgraded to a 250GB to hold more games and wham, it does it every time now.

I've tried each of the select settings in HDL and was wondering about how to solve this problem.

My options are:
Slow HDD Access
Disable DVD9 support
Kill HDL after launch
Date/timefix 2
Date/timefix 3
Disable network support
Disable CzC patch
Soul Calibur 2/Suikoden V

Perhapps a combo of these will work, though I've tried a bunch of them. Any ideas or possible solutions?

We live in a world were stolen music is safer, pirated movies are cleaner, hack software runs faster and any attempt to be honest puts us in jail. Nice eh?

Dang, oh well. That's just one dvd I have to leave out of the attic. That and the other 2. I hope some one comes along and fixes it. I figure it probably has to do with all the data being in a single file on the dvd. If only there was a way to extract that file and still be able to run the game.

Yeah I am not sure if anyone has tried.
You could try this "vmc fix" that has worked on some games.
