I'm having trouble with DvdFab Decrypter on a couple of movies.

You, Me and Dupree
Evan Almighty

Everytime I try to copy the image to hard drive it will get about 1/3 of the way into the process and then it tells me that it can not continue and that it needs path player to finish the operation.

Then it tells me to restart DvdFab to enable path player.
After I restart it it won't even scan the disk it just gives me an error prompt that has retry, abort and ignore.
If I hit retry the prompt just pops back up.

I am running the most current version of DvdFab (5.2.2.2)

Anybody know what the problem might be??

I would uninstall DVDFab and clean it up with Ccleaner, reboot and reinstall. Both of those are older movies and the latest version of DVDFab shouldn't have issues with them.

Also check this thread regularly for updates...latest version is 5.2.2.6

Let me ask you one more question.....

If I go to re-backup a movie that I already have done before, why does shrink already have the second backup analyzed (The initial analyzation right after you open up shrink)?

I always delete my old files after I make my backups, but I need to make another backup of Deja Vu (I had a problem with the first copy I made...there are flaws in it that had to come from this pre-anayization because I have made another copy with the same results).
After I rip it with DVDFab and then open shrink it is already to go right to shrinking and burning.

Is there anyway to delete this pre-analization that shrink seems to store a copy of? I can't seem to find it in any of the regular files either.

DVD Shrink keeps analysis results for all the DVD's you back up which in theory makes it easier and quicker if you need to back one up again at a later date...

If you want to delete all of the old analysis files, you'll find them in C:\ProgramData\DVD Shrink (not in Program Files)... Since there isn't any way to identify which analysis file is which DVD, you'll need to delete everything in the folder.

What is the whole path to that file?
I can't seem to find what you are talking about.

I'm on Vista and that is the complete path for me... Havn't had XP for the last 2 years, but thinking maybe that's what you're using..

So, if I remember correctly (if not, I'm sure someone with XP will be able to correct me)..

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\DVD Shrink

Check that path and see if you find a DVD Shrink folder under "Application Data" . I think the Program Data folder under C:\ in Vista, replaced the "Application Data" under C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator in XP

Loco,

I tryed what you said to do with DVDFab and I still have the same results after doing all that you said to do....I downloaded the latest version also (5.2.3.0)

Is there another way to go about this?

I know that I can creat an image with ImgBurn, but it says it will not work with AnyDVD, so what am I to use for copywright protection?

Joleca,

Thanks for the help anyway.

I guess I am going to have to do them on my laptop.
Which is no big deal, it will just take me about 3 times as long.

GETaklu

You're very welcome... Someone else may still be able to help..

Another thought though... Can you try searching on your "C" drive for any files with "Analysis Results" in the name..

(maybe search on Analysis Results.*) All the files in my DVD Shrink Program Data folder start that way... the "." is followed numbers and letters, but no way to tell which file is which DVD.
