i started using dvd shrink and then i was burning with dvd shrink and it wasnt working some1 told me to burn with nero so i did it once and it worked and i cnt get it to work now and it is pissing me off soooo much
can someone tell me what the problem is

Hi axidburn, DVDshrink has never had a burning capability of its own. The newest version has a block to check off in the preferences settings that will let DVDshrink auto start Nero to burn when the time comes. First make sure you have DVDshrink 3.16. Then go to edit--preferences--file IO, then make sure the block for burn with Nero is checked. Nero will complete the burn process automatically.

yea when i save the movie to a video.ts folder on the hdd and then open up Nero and burn the movie it alwasy fails...and i have no idea why?

i wanted to know when i make back up copy of my dvds they dont play on my ps2 i copy the dvds with dvdxcopy xpress they work on my dvd player. i have a emprex dvd dual dvd+r+rw drive but when my freind brings his dvd backups it works on my ps2 all i know he has a hp external can some one plz help me ?

If you are playing your backups on your +R Emprex then you must be using +R media, so maybe your friend is using -R media, which is compatible with your PS2.
Will your friend's back-ups play in the Emprex?

Hey aXidburn , lets get this Nero problem sorted mate ! I've used Nero for... well always (LOL)
Are you using Nero 6 (if so what version of Nero6) ?
Are you burning to VIDEO_TS (is red in colour) in DVD-Video mode within Nero ??
What media are you using ?

i am using Nero 6. i am doing dvd video and then move the folder that all the movie was saved in on my hdd(VIDEO_TS)and then i switch it into the red folder.
i am using memorex +r , and i have never had a problem with the media
when i started backuping up dvd i used clone dvd and any dvd but had some probelms so i switched to dvd x copy paltnuim and it works for a while and then just stopped??so i heard about DVD Shrink so i started using it and here i am..

There are about 5 different version of Nero 6 that I can think of ... off the top of my head.
I use Nero 6 Ultra Edition (Nero 6.0.0.0) myself , it's a very stable version.

The folder you save to on your HDD doesn't have to named VIDEO_TS as Nero has the AUDIO_TS/VIDEO_TS folders in DVD-Video mode.
So you are adding all VOB/BUP/IFO files from ripped movie folder to red VIDEO_TS folder in Nero yeah ? (just clarifying , because you can never be too specific sometimes)
Also I would never recommend Memorex media , any disc using the Ritek G04 dye is cool though !: )
P.S. Nero might conflict w/ other burning software , if you have any other burning software installed that is...

I'm having trouble with burning and I don't know why, maybe someone can help!! I'm using a Sony -R/+R burning, Shrink 3.1, Imaging Tool 1.0.0.1 and DVD Decrypter. Sometimes when I copy the DVD it plays fine for awhile then all of a sudden it will skip to the next scene. I have tried using different media, both +R and -R. Is there setting in Shrink or Decrypter I should change, I'm using the default setting.

Maybe try burning w/ Nero or RecordNow rippas ?

then what should i do i dont wanna get rid of my other programs...
altho i think i found a way to do it with pinnacle instant cd & dvd copy 8 and DVD Decrypter
mayb i will post a guide about it....might get a little higher to senior member!!..lol
