Hi,
I am trying to convert a MKV file to dvd and burn it to a dvd disk

and I found dvdflick was very slow... I think it will take donkey year to finish the process.

I am using intel 4 Q9550 duo quo...not running any programe on the background.
got 4 gig ram and harddisk 1TB.

The file I am trying to convert was only 456MB.
and I have extracted out one audio file from the source.

This is kind or strange?

Any one got any comments?

Hi Henryting,

for me, dvd flick was slow in everything (but it worked)

Paraphrased from the movie "High Road to China",

"Dvd flick may be slow, but the earth is patient"

DVD Flick is most certainly not donkey slow on a Quad Core (mine is a Q6600). Make sure you have threads set to 4 in the options as you have 4 cores. Is the MKV file HiDef by any chance ?

'fraid i know very little about MKV files and even less about X-264 etc etc. I did recently have a 1080p MKV file and neither Flick nor ConvertXtoDVD could cope with it; well it was more that they couldn't cope with the subtitles properly. Anyways, if i recall correctly i gave up and tried FAVC and Super, both are free, i have a feeling it was Super that worked in the end for my 1080p file.
I've very rarely converted MKV files, i just find them to be a pain in the backside personally, so can't comment on how well suited DVD Flick is for them.
