I don't know what happened. I got Sonic Unleashed off a torrent (don't ban me, please), I got a SonyDVD-R, which, last time I checked, were good media. I burnt the game to the Sony DVD-R. At the end of the burning process, I told the game to verify. For some reason, the verify failed. Whatever. I take the disc out, put it in my Crystal Chip modded PS2, coaster city.
I don't know why it didn't work. I used to be a pro at this kinda stuff, but I lost it because of all this time on the XBos 360 :'(
Actually, this was suppose to be a game for my brother. He wants it pretty bad...
I'm burning an ISO, which I extracted from multiple RAR files. I used DVD Decrypter, and I downloaded it off IsoHunt. Seems pretty legit since it had lots of downloaders. My modchip works with all my other games though, so I don't know.
Update guys! My brother just bought an actual copy of the game. Real copy. So we put it inside the PS2, it doesn't work. This proves the problem is with the game, not the disc. I didn't have a coaster after all! :|
Can anyone tell me why it isn't working? This is weird. All my other games are working fine!
Do you have a different screen res (PAL/NTSC) on your PS2 then on the game? Check the side of the box near the bottom to see whether it say PAL or NTSC.
Well, I'm using a modchip as said, and I set my modchip to put any game on NTSC display. Like, my PS2 is PAL, but I have it hooked up to a NTSC display, so I tell it to display all the games and the menus in NTSC.
Past maybe that the game isn't compatible with that modchip (if it's possible), idk >:\ But if anything is causing it not to play it's probably the modchip.
Tell you what, I'm going to send RichsPSXParts another mail. If they do no respond, I'll use the other website. I wonder if they reliable too though...
