i have this idea if i could play my playstation 2 in my portable dvd player, it is stupid but i dont watch movies that much so i was trying to experiment with cables and freakin connectors.. and i finally figure out what to do. this is my advice to the people i know might want to do the same thing as what i did.
you just need to go to a radioshack and buy a coupler or so called tricoupler, and an AV connector ( if ur portbale dvd says AV In on the side of your dvd player) this might help you. it will might cost you total about $30- 40.00 for both and this will help you connect gaming consoles to your little tiny screen which will make that little portable dvd player into something useful. =)
dont forget: yellow to yellow, red to red, and white to white.
also, did you put your volume up? it happened to me to i was like 'hey how come no sounds? and later i found out that my volume wasn't in high. lol.. it should work.. and don't stab your portable player to hard you need to be gentle and twist it see if it worked. =)
yes i changed it to A/V in cause i get picture. Still no sound though even after messing around with the plugs. Maybe i have the wrong plugs. I am using the A/V plugs that game with the dvd player, one end has a yellow plug and black plug and hte other end has the regular red, white, yellow plugs. The yellow and black ones are plugged into the dvd player and the other end is pluged in the coupler. and the PS2 A/V plugs are in teh other side of the coupler. Is this wrong?
well i used a tricupler and used an av in plug that you could find from radioshack usually for the use of cam corder or something like that... ok well i was reading your post i have this conclusion first you have the yellow connector for the video, red and white is for the audio.. since you have the yellow connector with a black connector, all you need is another connector that has a black connector in the end and the other side has red and white coupler. now you have the red and white and yellow, and i believe thats how it works if not, return it from the store. =) tip dont loose your receipt.
