hi guys, my son woke up this morning to find that the blue light was flashing on his ps2 while in standby mode.
basically, the ps2 is plugged in and switched on at the wall, but the console is in standby mode (red light) with the blue eject light flashing on and off, sometimes it`s 1 flash` and sometimes it`s 2.
i have had a fair amount of experience with ps2 consoles, but have never seen anything like this before.
any ideas or answers would be great, just wanna know if it`s gonna give up the ghost, or if there is a way of stopping the blue light flashing.
The eject button may be stuck-try pressing it a few times
Slim PS2-the lid may not be closing all the way.
Fat PS2-ribbon could have come loose at the switch or the board.
Try also unplugging it from the console and plug it back up.
What model PS2 do you have?
hi, it is a v5 fatboy ps2, i will check the eject cable and see if it`s seated properly, but i can`t honestly see it being unseated,. no one has been inside the console since it was chipped (5years ago).
