I tried cleaning the laser, I tryed the white wheel method,

the laser is showing a red light,

Do I need a new Laser? or could it be something else?

its a 50001 Model

Well first is your laser reading any discs at all.
The laser is red, is it moving up and down when a disc is in?

If not, then when your adjusted the white cog wheel, did you first mark its original position with a marker, then try moving a bit at a time and then try a disc.

If no discs are reading at all, then yes you probably need a new laser.

When I adjusted my cog wheel some time ago, I first would turn it clockwise just a bit at a time. This lowers the laser height.
I would then just take the white magnet out of the lid, and place it over a disc to see if would read.

Yes laser is moving up and down, red light, yes I did mark it, No discs are reading, where is a cheap place to buy a new laser? Thanks

These guys are fairly cheap, but their shipping to Canada was terrrible.
So if you live in the states maybe it is way cheaper.

Other than them I only know of Ebay.
