Hey,
I have a whole bunch of music DVDs and I have ripped them to my HDD using DVDDecrypter and now I want to split them into seperate files for each chaper (basically so I can create a video playlist with all the music videos).
I have heaps of free HDD space so I don't want to lose any quality by compressing the files to XviD etc, and my CPU is a slow P4 so it would take to long... so is there a way to retain the DVD files in their orignal format but cut them up by chapter?
Thanks for any suggestions, have been googling for a while but haven't had any luck.

DVD Decrypter, insert DVD, select 'Mode' > 'IFO' from menu.
Select the chapters and if you want to be selective about the stream contents (subtitles, foreign languages) click on 'Stream Processing' to select.

Thanks! Didn't know it was that simple.
I have tried one disc out, and I get a VOB file for each chapter which is what I wanted, but I also get an IFO for each VOB file.
Do I need to keep the IFOs? Or will the individual VOBs play without them?
Also another quick question, the VOBs play fine with PowerDVD but not Windows MEdia Player - is there anything I could do to make them work with Meida Player?
Cheers!

Thanks. I checked and have a mpeg2 decoder installed.
Here is the error I am getting from WMP when trying to play the VOB;
"Windows Media Player cannot skip to the requested location on the DVD."

I seldom use WMP.
What I get when trying to play a single .VOB file (not part of a complete DVD folder) is WMP saying it's loading the file, but never plays it (no message).
The solution is to rename the .VOB with an .mpg on the end, then it plays it ok.
