I previously had a setup which allowed me to record my Skype conversations using Audacity. I just had an audio cable running from my line in to my headphone socket on my laptop. I used a splitter in the headphone socket to route the audio to my hi fi in order to hear what was going on. I also use audio from WMP and Firefox in some of my conversations. Only trouble is that the sound quality is really bad. Is there anyway that I can route the output from the headphone socket back into the line in using some kind of software?
