Trouble is, dialysis1 confirmed that DVDFab works in his post directly before yours..
I understand that and there is also a couple of times it is mentioned that it does not work. So i am not sure what is going on here. Was not purposly argueing that post, was simply stating what was happening on my pc.

Looks like I may have outdated software as I was using DVDFAB 5.1.1.2 I will update that and give it a shot.

Sorry, didn't mean to give the impression that i was criticising you goofymom :)
..was just pondering whether Windows could 'see' the Transporter disc, or whether the optical drive you're using to rip isn't quite up to the job (not all optical drives are equal, some have problems, some don't, go figure).
It probably is just that your DVDFab is a few versions out of date...

edit- ..can't comment on the movie myself as (surprise, surprise) this movie isn't out here in the UK 'til the 20th April, GRRR!!!

No they are not free. To find them just use Google. There is a freeware method listed in the posts above.
They cost but you can try them free for 3 weeks before you have to pay. Try them and see if you like them. I bet you will pony up the money for at least anydvd before its all over.

..or people can stay 100% free if they so want. I used DVDFab free version for the longest time, i only purchased the Platinum version to show my support to the DVDFab folks for the endless free updates that i enjoyed over a long period; i could still be using just the free version now.. (well i am in fact, alongside the paid version).

As to AnyDVD, i've only used the 21day trial some years ago and never felt the need to purchase it due to DVDFab being more than sufficient. The only other program i've purchased (that was worthwhile i mean) was the Pro version of DVD Rebuilder, one of the best purchases i've ever made to be honest.

I've read this site on numerous occasions to get tips on how to burn movies that were difficult and I appreciate all the time that you guys give to aid your fellow burners. A search in this site usually begins with my neighbor trying to burn a movie with every bit of software he has (and he has a bunch), failing and bringing it to me. I finally decided to register as I want to bring up something that I've found on numerous occasions with the tough to burn movies.

Like many times before my neighbor brought over a movie that he couldn't get to burn today. So, I did a search and found this thread. After reading it, I decided to go on and try to burn it using DVDFab HD, Shrink and Nero. It burned with no problems and amazingly fast.

Anyway, my point is that there have been numerous times when my neighbor has tried to burn a movie with DVDFab HD version 5 and it didn't work. I have both version 4 and version 5 DVDFab HD on my computer and everytime he's brought one over I tried it with the version 4 and it worked with no problem. Anyone else noticed this where the version 4 works, but the 5 won't? There may be no logical reason for this to be so, but it's happened for me many times. I don't know why, but I'm glad I didn't delete the version 4 when I got the version 5. Anyway, I just wanted to point this out, so anyone who has an old copy of version 4 around might want to reinstall it or relocate it on their computer and try it when version 5 doesn't work.

While i have yet to have any movie be real troublesome for DvdFab 5xxx i will say that version 4.1.2.0 was a very stable version and i've heard others mention that 4.1.2.0 has been able to cut through some movies that 5xxx couldn't quite seem to get without an update first.

I archive all the different versions anyway. ;)

Ok, so after updating my software I was able to burn the movie, and guess what...... it even plays lol :)
Thanks for pointing out the obvious while I was looking far too deep.
Happy Burning Y'all

Happy watching (though us lucky Brits have to wait a month to be able to get this flick) :)

You don't get all movies a month after we do...do you? Don't some of them come out at the same time if not earlier than we get 'em?

Some are before, some are after. The only consistent thing is that it's blumming annoying :)

Just got my copy of Transporter. Using the latest anydvd, decrypter, vob blanker, and then Shrink, hopefully I won't end up making a coaster. Will report back to let you all know if this combo work or not. :)

Strange, my burn was a success but Decrypter gave me some error message at around 98% to 99%; asked if I want to retry decrypting some files that "are not supposed to be encrypted". After ignoring these files, it worked anyway. Anyone knows why??

Succes. I used Ripit4me and it worked very well. I made a file on my desk top and directed it to rip the files to there. After it was done it asked if I wanted to open DVD Shrink and I directed it to do so I yhen created a shrunken back up it with nero 9. I am using the most recent version of DVD Decryptor because Ripit4me said it needed to. I have DVD Decryptor set To Defaults then in the general tab change the removal method from normal to agressive in File mode "Tick" Remove PUO's. For Ripping in the ISO Read mode "Tick" Remove PUO's there also. In the"CSS" tab, under CSS Cracking Methode", chose Brute Force->I/O Key Exchange and on failure chose yes. Important in the I/O tab in the bottom right "Tick" the box says, "Ignore read errors". I think I hade it in file mode but it may have been ISO read mode. Try File Mode first and if it dosen't work use try ISO Read Mode.
