I have a little issue, the issue being that I cant rip DVDs to a small file size. I have tried using different programs and they give me the whole DVD like it would come out with folders. Its a pain because some of these files come out huge. My question is how I am supposed to reduce the size of these files. I used to have MagicDVDRipp*r for a while and that worked pretty good. It would just rip DVDs into one video file, like most ill*gal DVDs. That is what I am looking for, I don't want the extra cr@p that comes with backing them up. I just want the movie.
So, as I was saying, Magic did a good job, but only for movies, I was also wondering if anyone knew of good programs that did this for series DVDs. I thought it would do movies and series the same but it wont, I am hoping to find something that will take all the chapters and put them into one file.
I have tried using CloneDVD and others but its just too slow, nowhere near Magic. Speed is also important as I have quite a few DVDs to back up and don't want to spend a whole day backing them up.
So I come to the knowledgeable for help. I don't know what else to try, so I need suggestions. Something speedy but that can give small, preferably/mostly single video files. I don't really care for the format, or the quality, as long as the quality isn't way shit*y.
Im hoping to get those 700MB-1000MB files that some torrents have. I'm not pirating anything, but I saw how small some of those are, that would save me A LOT of room. Looking to get them about that size.
It looks VERY nice, thanks. Any other suggestions if this one wont work - it didnt show Vista on the comp prog list. Also, do you know about how long on average it takes to rip a dvd?
Thank you. I have looked at it and I will give it a shot. Hope it works like some of the people have described it. Just want something fast and decent.
Keep us posted.
I'll be converting another load of movies thru AutoGK this weekend, methinks the Star Wars and the Indiana Jones movies. Luckily i'd previously put all those thru DVD Rebuilder, otherwise i'd have the joy of ripping them all, then DVD Rebuilder, then thru AutoGK. Though i'm sure i read somewhere that DVD Rebuilder can convert to AVI, not sure where i read it or if it's true though. I can be quite forgetful :p
