Hi, I need some help quickly. I got a couple of R4NDS cards and some 2gb memory cards for them. Did all the right things and put games on them, no problem there. I tried them on my DS, again no probs. Lent 1 to my grandaughter, problem arose with her DS not working (only got it at xmas) Thought is was a warranty problem. So I gave the cards to my nephew and niece, niece put her card in and wham same problem as grandaughter. Put her card in my DS no problems working fine. Nephew's was working okay. Just got a call from their dad. Girl borrows brothers DS, and wham same problem.
The problem is the DS will not work or even charge. Seems strange that they work in mine, but not anyone elses. Now I am afraid to use them in mine in case I end with the same fault. Can anyone please advise me with what I can do. I know that 2 are ones got at xmas and the 3rd is past it's warranty. Can't afford to go and spend £300 on new DS consoles.
I got the cards from Model-Gadget.com and I am finding it impossible to contact them.
Circuit diagrams, you will be lucky. There are however sites showing the location of the fuses. The one that you are most interested in is Fuse 1, this is located next to the NDS slot - as you look at the board with the silver slot facing you and to the top of the board - the fuse is on the left hand side of the slot (Labelled F1 on the board) about 1/3 of the way up the slot.
F2 is located around the power socket, this is purely for the charging circuit.
To test if its working you can bridge the fuse and switch on the unit (without the card in) if its working, replace the fuse before using it.
