You cant!

Instead, most audio managers will find artwork for tunes that do not have art, if you have told your audio managed to do so and they have access to the internet. Then when you sync the art goes along with your tune. If your player supports artwork the artwork will display.

if you want to add album art to your files you can do one of two things.
you can either have the artwork embedded in each file or you can add a folder.jpg to the album folder. Many audio managers and media players will recognize this.
If you want to embed the artwork in the tag data then you will need a tagging program like MP3Tag or something like that, there are others as well.

tim22, I didn't know that. Sorry for the misinformation. However, if the art is outside your mp3 you only use up the space of 1 image per album instead of 1 per mp3.

hey Mez, Im not exactly sure if that answers his question as I was confused a bit as to what exactly he wants to do?
but yeah your right about that. the folder.jpg way of doing it will add one .jpg file to the album folder, which if the media player player being used can recongnize this (which most worth their salt can) then that is one way to go. It won't add the art to each mp3 file though as you mentioned which could be a problem for someone who can display album art on their car stereo or something like that. This would need the art embedded in each mp3 file.
I havn't used itunes in a long time but I think I remember itunes being able to recognize the art from a .jpg in a folder and be able to sync to the ipod. I think??
In Winamp, if you ask it to find album art it will do this. Put a .jpg file in the album folder.

I am sure he just wants to see album art on his mp3 player. Yes, even itunes and zune software adds album art. I think that is a must have feature for any audio manager.

I would suggest he or anyone else try free versions of Winamp and Media Monkey. They are the most popular audio managers and have the most features. They are way different in the interface and both have their strengths so most will prefer one over the other. Like chocolate and vanilla until you test drive both there is no predictions which you will like.
