I'm sure someone has thought how to do this.

Basically you have threee BIN files (3 cd's) and you want to place them on 1 SINGLE DVD in order to install the programs from CD1, CD2, CD3, but have them all launch from a single DVD.

Possible?

Thanks! Again!

Personally I've never done this myself but what you can do is use a program like WinISO to extract the content of the image files to a specific location each, in your case could be a folder with the names: CD1 CD2 CD3...

Once done, just make a Data DVD in Nero or any other burning program and install from DVD drive, when installing I'm sure it would run without a problem but if asked to inser 2nd disc just find the CD2 folder to continue installing.

Good luck

hi all

i have thought about this too, i would say 90 to 95% it will work, as long as the software installs from 3 discs menaing it only has one AUTORUN.ini file on frist disc! basically its one install with 3 discs not 3 installs from 3 discs!

also you need to throw all files folders as they are into one folder on your HD to test there isnt folders or files with same name! as then install will pick wrong files and you would have to overwrite duplicate file names NOT GOOD!

but yes if all files folders have differnt names its possible!

also in nero allow path depth of more than 8 folders RELAX ISO RESTRICTIONS...

cant think of any thing else so for now dump all 3 cd's into one folder on HD to see if that part works?

Thx....

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

I did try installing from dvd, 5 folders (one dvd) and when it gets to the "insert CD 2" stage, I have no options other than "Cancel" OR "OK", in other words, I can't get to to a point where I can browse, I'm thinking it has something to do with the auto.ini file maybe???

oppps, actually, my files on the dvd are *.bin files and I use winiso which works for cd 1, but I can't get to cd 2, so your saying make all of them data files...and then folders....

hmmmmm

AHAHAH

Yes you need to extract files and folders from the bin!

and it has to be a sort of content cd2 not with a autorun file on it!

thx...
