I am trying SubRip after reading the Tutorial here, and it works fine. ONLY, each subtitle is reproduced twice, like this:

1
00:00:01,358 --> 00:00:03,155
First subtitle

2
00:00:01,358 --> 00:00:03,155
First subtitle

3
00:00:03,198 --> 00:00:04,995
Second subtitle

4
00:00:03,198 --> 00:00:04,995
Second subtitle

5
00:00:05,038 --> 00:00:06,266
Third subtitle

6
00:00:05,038 --> 00:00:06,266
Third subtitle

... and so on. Is this a bug? I have ver. 1.50b4

Thanks for any help, Tom

I use the same version without problems.
In the black text window, before saving the .srt file, does it only show one instance for each subtitle?

BTW, if you are ripping the subs from DVD's, use the 'Matrix' file at this link.
Unzip, copy to the CHMatrix folder and load the .sup file before loading the IFO/VOB files.
It recognizes many characters and is much faster than inputting manually.
The file name is ai4spam.rar

Thanks attar,

the problem is not the recognition, which is fine after training it, but in the doubles. Yes, each subtitle appears TWICE in the black windows, before saving the ripped text! I am going crazy!

I can't turn up anything on this error - but there's an active subtitle forum at Doom9 - but there is a waiting period to post.

Also, the Videohelp site is good and there's no waiting period before posting.
