Hi

Over the last few days I have been having trouble burning dvd's using methods which have worked fine for months. It started when DVD Decrypter would get stuck at 99% synchronizing cache...., Clone DVD's the same. Nero has worked when buring as viedo.ts files but seems slower.

Has anybody seen this before, I'm running the latest 1.07 firmware, under win xp pro. I'm using swisstec media -r at 1x.

Would re-flashing the firmware help?

Things are ok upto the end part.

Go there if you want the best firmwares for your burner. I would suggest it anyway even if it was working fine as I have an A06 patched and can extract at 12x so most movies are done in under 8-12 minutes.

HI there TheHat, I don't think a firmware patch will help with your 99% problem. It sounds more like a problem with the blank discs. The hacked firmware will help rip speed increase to max (about12x). Not sure how much it will help the other problem. If you use other than Pioneer firmware during the warranty period, it will void whats left of it.
Try a good known brand of media and see if that helps.
