Hi,

Just got nec 2500a delivered today to replace my pioneer a03. Trouble is that whichever burning software i use I only have the option to burn at 2x. i have tried nero 6 and recordnow. Both do the same. i have tried both the stock and rpc1/riplock firmwares with no joy. Any help or advice as to why this might be happening would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Sounds like the media, try a different make of disc.
Ive used Arita +R 4X Id code Ricoh JPNR01.
These burn at 6x perfect burns every time.
Hope this helps.
