Can You Trade Pokemon Fire/Leaf using M3 Real To Another DS ?

I searched around alot and never really got a solid answer whether this is possible ? I understand the wireless modes from the GBA and DS are different and dont work. So the Union room is out the picture im assuming.

But is there a way to use the slot 2 expansion to hold a save to at least migrate pokemon from a save file to Pokemon Platinum ?

Yes, if you have a slot2 device you can load the pokemon fire or leaf game and the save, then turn it off. Next time you load platinum you can go to pal park and load the fire/leaf pokemon from the GBA savegame into platinum.

Of course, its far easier to just use pokesav to edit your platinum save file to make whatever pokemon you want.

I should have been a bit more specific.

I have the actual Pokemon Platinum game cartridge. And I have my Leaf and Fire as roms loaded into the M3 Ds Real. The loading of the roms and saves are fine. Does this still work if I leave the slot 2 gba expansion in while i play the actual platinum on slot 1 ?

As for your second idea i never heard of it.

My main goal is to just get my pokemon from Leaf and Fire (roms) into my Platinum catridge file. I know people with a Ds so if i have to trade thats no problem. Meaning I have to stay in the GBA game from the M3 to another Ds On Platinum if possible.

Ah, dont know if it will work with the official game cart. Dont know anyone who's ever tried it.

As for pokesav, its a program that lets you hack your save file and make almost any kinds of changes you want. It's available here but doesn't work for the official game cart either http://www.pokesav.org/main/

Ah that sucks thank you for the advice.

My last attempt to do this would be to ask. If there is any way to strip the save file from the actual Platinum Cartridge so I can run it on the M3 Ds Real . I put in alot of work in the Platinum and I dont want to start that all over again , same with the Emerald Fire and Leaf. I do have the acutal games but I like my pokemon way better on the rom save files than the cartridge.

Or my last suggestion. Play Diamond or Pearl on a rom. and trade with in rom files. (leaf,fire,etc.) to diamond (rom). then wifi trade diamond (rom) to another DS with the actual platinum cartridge. is that possible ?

There are ways to copy the save file out of the DS game, but I dont remember where to find a guide. Once you get it though you can play it on the M3 and use pokesav to make whatever changes you want.
