Hello all...I'm new to posting but love the forum.I dont have any problems with burning a typical DVD9 to a DVD 5 .What I am trying to find is a way to put 2 movies onto one DVD. Specifically I am trying to copy a couple of Teenage mutant ninja turtle cartoon DVD's, compress them( from about 4 gig to about 2 gig each) and put them onto one DVD with a menu in the begining so you can choose between them. Any ideas on which software would be best for this type of operation.

Hiya,

TMPGEnc DVD Author v1.5 would be PERFECT for what you want.

You will need the two films ripped into seperate folders AND READY FOR BURNING (NOTE: DO NOT SHRINK/COMPRESS THE FILMS).

Use DVD Author to create the DVD Structure, menus and all - ignore the warning about size, and output to hard drive.

Shrink the result & burn.

Have Fun...

rip the movies onto your harddrive with dvddecrypter. then use DVD2One join feature works great.

Best way to backup that movie
1 DVD Decrypter 3.5.2.0
2 DVD2One 1.5.2
3 Nero 6.3

So HOW do you create "a menu in the beginning so you can choose between them" using DVD Decrypter and DVD2One??

I am pretty good at this stuff in general, but I really would like to learn how you did it..

just use DVD Shrink to reauthor a disc- stick one dvd in your burner, and another in yor rom drive- then select both under reauthor and drag and drop them- hit back up and it will make 2 titles- use the title button on your dvd remote to cycle the titles.

come to the grassyknoll video game roms archive

easier to use DVD2One and choose user select and put 2200 in there for each movie...then use tmpge dvd author to create the new dvd...and if it's a bit over the 4438 max...edit each one and remove the credits...i do this all the time and it works beautifully

Drchips ,

Very good point DVD2One only does join as movieonly not full disc so you loose the menu and disc extras. I overlooked that in the original post. Does anyone have the answer to adding menus with DVD2One join mode.

Sup all...

Just wanted to say thanks to drchips. Your advice to use TMPGEnc DVD Author v1.5 worked perfectly. The menus were a little simplistic but it worked fine for the TMNT cartoon's for my kid.
