When I use AutoGK, the resulting video always has a horrible aspect ratio. Everything is stretched tall. It keeps trying to make the movie 4:3 when it should be 16:9. I've tried setting the width, and whenever I go to advanced options to force change the aspect ratio I get a "no authorization" error. So I've decided to stop using autogk.
Anyways, the reason why i LOVED autogk is because of it's subtitle option. It's really good at encoding the subtitles so that you can turn them off/on while watching the vid.
Are there any other programs that can do that? Or, is there a program that can merge subtitles to an avi so that you can turn them off/on while watching the video?
i'm looking for a program that will merge a subtitle file (srt or sub i guess) to an avi file (or mpeg) where the subtitles can be turned OFF/ON while watching.
or a ripper that will do it in one step (not autogk, aspect ratio problems with some movies)
I've just batch converted well over a hundred movies using AutoGK (version 2.55) this last fortnight. Before using AutoGK, the source movies were either retail DVD's shrunk/encoded with DVD Rebuilder, some were retail DVD's that were simply ripped in main move mode ie didn't need any encoding or transcoding and the rest were from DVD's previously created from AVI->DVD conversions. Not once have i come across aspect ratio problems such as described above..
