Hey all, i have just taken my external dvd burner out of the casing and put it into my newly built PC. It is connected to the IDE1 on the mainboard.

I am now encountering some problems when burning dvds, such as they wont play on my xbox - whereas they did before! but they play on almost every other player ive tried it on! :(

The drive is fitted ok and seems to be fine. My only idea is that there could possibly be a slight difference in the data transfer rates when using USB2 and IDE?

Does anybody know if this could be an issue or am i gonna have to just take it back out of my PC and stick to USB?

Thanks in advance

Scott b
