I was at Cd Freaks.com and they weren' much of a help, maybe you guys can point me in the right direction.
Problem:
-Have tried ripping with DvdCloner. But the files come out as 4gb Video_ts folders.
-Have triedd running those folders through Handbrake at an output target size of 700mb or lower to compress them. The quality comes out TERRIBLE.
Question:
How do I go from a Dvd in my drive, to a 700mb or lower file with good quality?
What process does it require and what programs do I need?
NOTE: I do not plan on burning to a dvd, just need the files.
Right now I have DvdShrink, DvdDecrypter, Handbrake, and Autogk. I know how to use them, so please help me.
Originally posted by mistycat: Never tried this but, from what I hear, AutoGK is excellent at converting to avi which should give you the file size you want, not sure on quality at 700 MB though: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/...ogk.cfm
Thank you for the link. It actually helped me learn how to use AutoGk. Much appreciated.
Question:
After I run my files through that program, will i need to use anyother program to run them through?
Don't know about AutoGK but converted hundred's of avi to DVD and never had to process one except for the ocassional sync issue, don't know of any way of doing that with avi or even if it's possible. One thing I noticed is the audio is AC-3 which is larger, don't know if that can be changed or matter's.
