I just spent a while browsing around, and cannot find something for the newbies...

I just got an ipod video and want to rip some of my movies to the proper type of file. Meaning that i just need to rip my movie into 1 file, not a bunch of smaller files.

I have a copy of videora ipod converter, which is working good enough for me to convert the 2 avi movies that I have to the mpeg-4 files that works on my ipod video.

I have CloneDVD, but can I get this to the work for me?

Also, would this program help me to do the conversion to whatever is viewable on my xbox 360?

And I do most of my copying, etc on my xp machine. Nothing fancy, just about 2GHZ, 1G ram, 500G hard drive.

FREE is always appreciated, but if I need to pay, then so be it.

Just guessing here as I'm not familiar with either but maybe Handbrake for the Ipod: http://howto.diveintomark.org/ipod-dvd-ripping-guide/ maybe Xbox too or MeGui.
