I've put a fliptop cover on my ps2, i have a swap magic and many burned games and im looking for something extra to do with my ps2 some extra sort of hacking with the ps2.
What else can you hack or use on a ps2 besides normal ps2 games?
as far as ive heard, i dont think u can do anything more wid ur ps2. u've done the maximum. u see..... ps2 is getting outdated now. so i wud recommend buyin a modern gaming console like the ps3, x360 or wii .u can do many things wid these.

And if the ps2 is so outdated why is it still outselling the ps3?
There are still loads of things you can do with the ps2, there are loads of homebrew apps and games you can put on it including web browsers and if you have/get a network adapter you can put a hdd in it and install linux onto it.
Is why they just made a new model in the last year.
Also games are still in production yet this year for them.
Maybe this will be the last year for the PS2, but there is lots you can do with a PS2. And for many its a good console at a good price.
Especially the FAT PS2.
You can have a Network adaptor and IDE hdd, which allows you to play backups, movies, emulators etc.
You can play movies, music etc from a USB drive also.
You can install the fmcb 1.8 so that you can launch applications directly from your PS2 Sony Browser, such as hddloader, sms.elf (which allows you to play movies etc from your hdd, usb or cd or DVD
YOu can even connect your PS2 to your PC using sms.elf and be able to watch movies right from your pc is you want.

yeah the most flexible thing you can do is put linux on it. limitless possibilities. you can even use QEMU to run windows on the PS2. (slowly, but it works... try win98 for best results)
To be honest i found it easier exploiting my ps2 than softmodding my Xbox cuz with my Xbox i had to search relentlessly for an original(non classic) copy of splinter cell whereas for my ps2 all i had to do was go out and buy any cheat disc(i found that to be about the hardest part) then obviously i had to compile the exploit file which was easy enough :)
