I am also in search of a trusted site to buy from and what card to buy. I would prefer an American site.

I have a DSlite and I'm currently using a DS LINKER FIRECARD which is basically shit to say the least. I want a decent quality one with a high ROM capability figure.

I want my saves to stay intact. I don't care about playing MP3s or anything else on it, but whichever has the better quality would be best.

Price doesn't really matter, but the cheaper the better.

thanks in advance.

5.75 here can get you a ndstt. Guessing it is like a Hong Kong site, with a middleman. Anywho I love this site, its fun to search stuff in. Got my ndstt in two weeks from this site. Never had a problem with the cart--play the latest games on it, loads, saves, and runs great.

I would recommend the Acekard 2i as they work great, for the memory you add a micro SD card in the slot on the flashcart.

Its also easy to configure and add games to it.

If you have been thinking about buying an R4i card, they are not that good and there are many clones of them

The AceKard 2i isnt the cheapest of flash carts but in my opinion you only get what you pay for :)

Compared to an R4 and ezFlash,Acekard 2i is great.
You can get an Acekard 2i from DealExtreme for $13.70 and free shipping.
Acekard 2i supports Nintendo DS,Nintendo DS Lite,And Nintendo DSi.
It's affordable,You can download the latest Firmware for free and download the latest ROMs free at http://nds.hkorz.com/

The Ackekard 2i also has a built in Cheat and Action Replay Editer if you chose to use codes.
The Acekard 2i alos supports ather files as well,Such as Mp3,Photo files like Jpg,Png,And Text Documents. So you can use your Nintendo DS Lite as an Mp3 Player. [Nintendo DSi already has audio support.]

Overall,It's very simple to use and set up. It also looks very nice because you download and create your own Skins for the UI to use. Free at http://www.acekard.com/

The R4 is a bit more complicated and has things you don't really need,Even though they're nice feature's. And the ezFlash freezes your ROMs at times for some reason.

EDIT:Sorry for typos,My Notebook's Keyboard is going bad. I tried to edit them,But they still stay.

I'm not sure. I'm thinking that should be similar to the DS Fire Link Card.
I've not owned or experienced one before so I can't say.

But if you're thinking about an Acekard 2i, http://www.dealextreeme.com/ has them about $13.70 with free Air Mail shipping. the Acekard 2 is about $11.00,But the Acekard 2i is worth the $3.00 more,It's updated and has Nintendo DSi support.

EDIT:Oops,I said that already in my last Post.
Sorry lol.

Im not sure it would be a genuine AceKard 2i for $13.70 as mine cost twice that price when i bought mine and i bout mine from a different supplier online. The thing is with non genuine AceKard 2i's i think they tent to have problems with the springs on micro sd slot built in to the card?

I'm thinking very heavily about getting a DSi. I haven't owned any iteration of the DS before, so I'd be coming to this fresh. I've heard good things about Acekard. I read the GBATemp's review, which said it lacked some features of its competitors, but nothing more. It also said that the update hadn't been very significant, with a lot of other options left over from the DS Lite not taken out. I want a cart system which has been (or soon will be) fully updated to take advance of the DSi's new specs. Preferably, I'd also like it to be able to play music, DS(i)/GBA ROMs and other media off the SD card. Which cart either does or will, through a firmware update, fit this description?

Acekard 2i can play Audio Files such as Mp3 and Wma,It can view photos,Pdf,Text documents etc. Acekard 2i also has a Cut,Copy,Paste,And Move feature. You can also play GBA roms with an Acekard 2i. [Something else is required too though.] Acekard does have Firmware updates as well and Acekard 2i has been designed specifically for Nintendo DSi,Even though Acekard 2i has Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite support too.

EDIT:Video Watching is also supported on the Acekard 2i,As well as other Homebrew.

You will need an EzFlash 3-in-1 memory expansion or similar to compliment the AceKard and all the other flashcarts that are capable of playing GBA games to be able to play GBA games.

Also you are only able to play GBA games on the Nintendo DS and not the DSi at this present time mate :)

Yes,The Nintendo DSi doesn't support the Acekard 2i in terms of playing Gameboy Advance ROMs because the Nintendo DSi has no Gameboy Advance Slot.
An EzFlash 3-In-1 Expansion Pack isn't required for an Acekard 2i to play Gameboy Advance ROMs on an Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite though.

The AceKard 2i DOES REQUIRE the EzFlash 3-in-1 expansion as the slot 1 isnt capable of playing those games at the correct speed etc, only slot 2 is.

Although you can play GBA games throuth the nintendo ds with the AceKard 2i, it still does require this for the memory expansion for the GBA games.

Not specifically an EzFlash 3-In-1 Expansion Pack.
An EzFlash 3-In-1 Expansion Pack is just one of the Expansion Packs to choose from.
There are othersBut yes,An Expansion Pack is required.
It just doesn't have to be an EzFlash 3-In-1 Expansion Pack.

An EzFlash Expansion Pack works best with an EzFlash other then Acekard too.
But what ever the person wants to buy and can afford is up to them.

I already said that the EzFlash 3-in-1 or similar is needed to play GBA games in my original post!

I don't see that anywhere within any of your Posts.
I'm just saying an EzFlash 3-In-1 Expansion Pack isn't require but it can be used.
You don't have to use an EzFlash 3-In-1 Expansion Pack though,You can use a different one. As long as you're using an Expansion Pack for GBA support.

PS-I didn't see your other Post until now,It is a genuine Acekard 2i.
You insert your Micro Memory Stick as usual,And the Firmware you still download from http://www.acekard.com/ like other stuff such as Skins.

The Acekard 2i is only about $3 more then Acekard 2. Acekard 2i is more updated wether you're not plaining on getting a Nintendo DSi or so.
So you're still better off getting an Acekard 2i then an Acekard 2.
Also,The Acekard 2 might not support all that an Acekard 2i does.

As for an Expansion Pack,All Expansion Packs I know of only support Nintendo DS Lite,Not Nintendo DS. I could give you a Link. But It won't support your Nintendo DS.
Do you still want it though?

EDIT:And try eBay for your Memory Stick. I got mine from their.
You don't need an 8GB though unless you're plaining on Downloading over 500 Nintendo DS ROMs. The most size of a ROM is about 128MB. But most are about 13MB-64MB. And yes,You can play your NES etc. As long as you download the Moonshell Pack from http://www.acekard.com/ And use supported Emulators for your Homebrew.

For NES,SNES yes you can,As long as you download the Moonshell Pack at http://www.acekard.com/ and use supported Homebrew. You just can't use an Expansion Pack to play GBA. And you can also use a Cell Phone or something else that supports a Micro Memory Stick. You don't actually need an Adapter for it.

But here-
http://www.amazon.com/MCSD-MSDuo-miniSD-...46324764&sr=8-3

$5.99. You get three Adapters for it.

EDIT:Or $3.99 Free Shipping for a Micro Memory Stick USB Adapter.
http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-CARD-READER-ADAP...%3A1%7C294%3A50

EDIT:Sorry about all the Edits. I forgot to tell you,The Gamesaves of the ROMs are no more then about 512KB. Not even 1MB. But you can get an 8GB if you want,I just don't think someone would actually need that much space because the Gamesaves and ROMs don't take up much space a t all.

Yeah I know. I want to play GBA ROMs. And some of my Nintendo DS Games have a feature where you can Link a GBA Game with an NDS Game for cool unlockables in the game.
