ok, i have about 100 memorex dvd+r 4x discs that i bought, before i got my dvr107. and i have 10 memorex dvd+rw 4x discs also.
i use nero 6 ultra edition.
whenever i burn to the 4x +r discs... it goes all the way to 99% and throws me an error that says " cannot perform end of disc-at-once"
it works perfect with the rw's.
this is with nero.... but wen i use stomp recordnow max... it works fine without errors.
i wonder if its nero, but why would nero give that error?
and why would it give the error when burning to dvd+R 's and not the rw's ?
please someone with experience please help!
p.s. dont just tell me to buy better media, cuz i already did, but i dont wanna throw away my memorex discs, so i wanna find a solution.
thanks

Try burning at 2x, or even 1x, see if that helps... That's the only thing I can think of besides making sure that you don't have any unnecessary background apps running, because burning DVDs requires alot of processing power and whatnot... I wouldn't be suprised if something in the background is preventing Nero from finishing properly...

I've just bought a Pioneer 107 today. It burns 4X Mirror Platinum Pro -r's no problem, but i've tried burning on 2 4X Datasafe +r's and got same errors as brimx ! Wtf ?? Does this drive not like +r media ? I admit, i haven't tried them on 2.4X, but i didn't think it would make much difference, -r's were burned on 4X and they're spot on.

ok, i think it mite be the version of nero... cuz like i said, the +r's worked on recordnow max, but with nero, id get errors, just not on the +rw's. so i updated my nero with the oem suite, which doesnt include nero burning rom, but it has nero express, which is the same thing basically. and i was successfull burning vob's to a memorex dvd+r at 4x. keep in mind this is with the flashman firmware on the drive. (but i still got the same error with this firmware before i updated nero)
so the problem i think is with nero. try updating it. i dont believe its with the drive.
p.s. keep in mind, i also checked the "verify written data" box to verify it, and it worked with that. i havent tried it yet without verifying.
let me know guys!
thanks
p.p.s. if someone can please answer my question about why people own more than one of these drives? theyre such nice drives! i love mine! but they do the same thing rite? lol whats the point of having more than one?

maybe they'll release a firmware update in the near future that fixes this problem...who knows?

no m8, i told you there is nothing wrong with the drive, meaning that a firmware update would not fix this problem. so just update your Nero. (its called a software update) ;)

Hi guys, do not intall the new Nero over the old. uninstall the old, reboot, then install the latest Nero. They call the Nero an UPGRADE, but its better to do the clean install to stop the problems.

you can get the Nero updates right off their site.
www.Nero.com
The full download is in 4 parts.
The new install should recognize your original serial number.
