hi there

i am having a problem with my email. i am with virgin media but still using the old ntlworld email address. it shows on the website there using

virgin media.net
ntlworld.com
blueyonder

etc.

anyway i can still get emails but i can not send emails

all the settings are setup like it says on the website but i still get an error


Task '........@ntlworld.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC67) : ' The server responded: 421 aamtaout01-winn.ispmail.ntl.com connection refused from [90.000.000.00]'

any ideas why i cant send but still get emails

My guess would be somehow they have screwed up the settings.. they keep insisting I have an email with them that I very specifically never set up (because UK isp's are spying bastards who like to read our private mail)!!!

Try just re-entering your email info in the email program you are using it may just be fualty in the program and needs to be refreshed.
