Hey Y'all,

I have encountered a bizzare situation which I haveen't seen any posts about on this site or CDFreaks, DVDRHelp et. al...

I had ripped a great music DVD from Primus to my Hard Drive which is nearly 8 gigs with menus etc. There is no point in tossing out extras, as every video on the disc is an extra, and it has over 20. The menu is essential for navigating, and is really cool to boot... So, I figured I'd just use DVD Shrink and compress it to fit on a Single Disc.
Unfortunately, two of the VOBs have errors in them. They are either corrupt, or a form of copy protection. It's hard to say. I had ripped them a long time back and just left the whole VIDEO_TS folder on one of my drives to watch at my leisure. (it plays fine on WMP9- Power DVD plays the individual VOB's, but the menu doesn't work... actually as far as I know Power DVD can't play VIDEO_TS.VOB files correctly from the hard drive anyway)

Anyhow, needless to say, DVD Shrink & DVD2One both falter at the first corrupt VOB, so I can't even get DVD Shrink to take them out and replace them with still frames. These two particular VOB's are not even videos or live footage. They are credits and fairly worthless. So.... Does any genius out there know a way to burn this baby with a working menu?

I can't re-rip this one as I gave it to a friend who took off with it.... any takers?

Hmmm... I had thought of both VOBedit & Menuedit, but I don't know enough about either program to get started. I'll try and read up on the features of these programs. If anyone could tell me how its done, I would be much obliged...

I believe that the latest shrink allows opening of incomplete file sets. Remove the affected files and any related files. Then open with shrink. I have done this before.

I'll try that. The Tricky part about this is that I really want the Menu to still work. I have messed with IFOEdit and MenuEdit a bit, but I couldn't quite figure out how to make it work for me. After disabling the worthless & corrupt "extras" (a still shot & some credits) the menu does in fact work... unless you press the button leading to the missing files. Then, it just hangs. I tried deleting the button in Menuedit, but when I loaded the thing in WinMP 9 the button was still there and still hung the system.

I may be doing somthing wrong, as I haven't found a guide or a faq yet which can step by step me through the process. I'm sure it must be possible, I don't have oodles of free time for this though.
