							Cant seem to locate any drivers  for it at all. Gainward  site only have the drivers for 8400 GS model.

							Tried them but millions of artifacts flooded the screen..

							i was thinking that too but unless the card was broken at manufacturer then it should be fine.. Card was sealed in antistatic bag and hasnt been opened. The Cd  and original box was lost. Gainward  say they dont supply replacement CD's or Graphics card drivers  before 2008 anymore due to "Focused regulations"

							I doubt that re-applying the heatsink and paste will resolve this problem.  I agree with consensus that the board is defective.  If you are really cuurious to see if this is a thermal issue, you can take a can of "freeze spray" or compressed air might do it) and spray  the video chip when the artifacts start occurring.
