OK have downloads in avi format, was previously able to put to disc using nero so that it could be played on dvd player.
Something has changed unable to do above, is there a program to convert avi files so that they can then be burned as a normal dvd.

DVD Flick is free and good or ConvertXtoDVD isn't free but probably the best 1 step program available, even make's a simple menu but the trial will leave a watermark in your video.

I agree with Mistycat, +1 for DVD Flick, but it leaves me wondering why Nero stopped working. Did you update that program? Add any other programs since the last time Nero worked? New discs? Burning speed?
Knowing there is more than 1 program to do the job is a good step forward. knowing what happened to cause your old method to stop working is just as, if not more, important in my opinion.

Thanks to both of you, I bought new computer and no longer had nero had to re obtain but it no longer works with AVI. Or rule number two I was not avi's that I was decoding. Either way thanks will try new program.

ok am having trouble working the program

night at the museum 2.avi is the file am trying to do. The program is telling me that this is not a valid file for it to do
