I have read previous posts about the issue: Apparently if I burn an audio cd regardless of the program, when I play/view it on my PC I will be unable to view the details - Song Name/Title, Artist, Album, etc. They don't even show up if you view the files directly on the cd. But if taken to a car cd, apparently folks say the titles show up. So my question is why? If professionally done cd's can show up on my pc, why can't I find a program to do the same thing? It drived me crazy! There has GOT to be an answer out there......please.

Since you didn't tell us anything about how you rip/burn/play it's kind of hard for anyone to offer help.

I have no problem seeing track information on burned CDs in WMP 11 and I burn with Nero.

Are you sure that you know what you're doing?

Sorry, didn;t mention what I used, b/c it didn't seem to matter. I've used 3-4 different programs including Nero, but when I play on WMP or try to view the files in Explorer, nowhere does it list the file names, album, artist, etc. And from the research I have done, it's a common complaint with no answer. I did use WMP to burn my last copy and of course the file names appear in WMP on the burned copy, so that will have to do for now, but I want a program I can "Make an audio cd" in and have all the file names of the music appear as they would if it was a professionally bought music cd. Hope that clarifies. Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, it's the ripping program that puts that information in the file, not the burning program.
