Ok so I converted this avi file to dvd format using xilisoft avi to dvd.

I told it to make an iso file on my desktop.

so I proceed to burn the iso with imgburn.

Now the original avi files sound is perfect. However the burned dvd has people talking during the movie, I know it sounds kinda weird.

It must have happend when converting the file to dvd or maybe it's just a setting in vlc player but I dono how it happend or if there is a way to fix it.

If you think I should just re burn the dvd that's fine but I only have a few dvds left and they were planned for other movies.

thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

Also on a side note when I say there is people tlakign during the movie it's like you can kinda hear the movie but then there are people talking over it it might have been them disscusing the movei but I dono.

Is this a cam; people talking and laughing and even silhouette's of people standing are pretty common? If so, maybe the audio was enhanced during conversion. Haven't a clue otherwise.

It was actually a dvd rip in avi format.

So thanks for the input good suggestion but sadly I'm stuped as well as to why this would happen since avi fiels can only have one audio track as far as I know.

Sound's like there are two audio track's, director's comment's or something. If you have a menu, you should be able to choose which to play. Or something like DVD Shrink (free), Clone DVD (not free) and remove it altogether. Maybe Xillsoft even has that capability, DVD Flick (free) or ConvertXtoDVD (not free) should have that capability, I know ConvertXtoDVD give's a simple menu, trial will put a watermark in video though.

stumped*

were not stupid ;P at least I don't think so ;)

Yea that's exactly the thing that I came up with that would be reasonable.

Although I don't think avi files can have multiple audio tracks.

Guess I'll just have to burn a new dvd no big deal.

I have burned two dvds so far and both without the same problem (different movies).

Apparently, avi can have more than 1 audio stream: http://www.alexander-noe.com/video/amg/en_myths.html (2 down and pardon the language) I know I've seen comment's over the movie but don't remember if it was an avi or a ripped DVD.

This is probably not the right forum but didn't know where to start - I have been downloading avi files for over a year. Recently my HP pc reset itself to the factory settings..saved all the program icons but not the setups. I have a DIVX player & area where the avi files normally save themselves.. My problem. Now that I started downloading again.. I can only find the temp downloaded folder but no main movie

I've searched the pc but cannot find anything
