Convert NTSC DVD to PAL

Hi,

Im trying to convert a DVD from NTSC to a PAL signal for a friend of mine that didnt no the difference between the two.

I can already make a back-up that is region free but as far as I know the picture would be black and white (like the playstation imports). Is there a way to do this or not? I know I could rip it and the convert it to mpeg2 with TMPGEnc but my friends wants to keep all of the menu's etc. She also doesn't own a TV that is NTSC compatible :s.

Any replies would be great.
