Hello,

I just read that DVD-9 burners will be available in May and I was wondering if I would be able to take my 2-disc backups made with DvdFab and put them back on one disk just like the original.

What DvdFab does is really simple : splits the main movie, the end being on the second disc :
- nothing changes in the menus and extras
- nothing changes for the movie track, except that the ending chapters and the end of the last chapter on the first disk point to a CHANGE DISK picture.
- there is one track on the second disk, no menus, chapter marks preserved but no chapters menu.

To revert this, you just need to :
- put the VOBs on the second disk at the end of the movie track VOBs
- modify the chapter pointers in the menu

I guess Ifoedit can do it.

Concerning the chapters, I can export the two text files containing the chapter marks, add the length of the disk1 chapters to the disk2 marks, append and reimport. BUT how do I get the total length of the disk1 chapters ?

And then, how do I modify the chapter pointers in the menu, and how exactly do I append the two sets of VOB files ?

If anyone has an idea or can point me to a detailed enough Ifoedit reference guide, thanks a lot.
