Hey all, i have just downloaded a song from the net and it plays perfectly in windows media player.

However, when i go to burn it to cd and open it in Nero 6 it gos from being 3.42mins down to 1.32min!

Why is this?

It is an MP3 audio file not WMA or anything. Just can't understand it!

Please help

It might contain an data error that makes decoding with Nero stop while wmp just skips the error and continues decoding. Try to decode with something else to .wav (e.g. Winamp/foobar2000 + diskwriter, lame.exe (or some frontend like lamedropxpd), MAD...), check the resulting file and burn if it's ok.
