format sd card on mac for ds trouble

hi can anyone explain to me why i formatted a 2gb sd card for the dstt card on an imac using utilitys and then erase the card to fat 32 and put the software on card but ds wouldnt read it had the red menu symbol , i was tearing my hair out , but then i formatted it again and put it into my camera which then i formatted it in the camera and tryed again and hooooray it worked ????? does anyone know why it works when formatted on camera but not on mac thankyou

do it on fat not fat32 make sure you have the correct files on the card set up properly download of www.dstt.com 1.17 extract, open eng folder and you have tmenu folder ttmenu.dat and another folder copy it to micro sd card as is, (to the root of the card)make a folder called games and putt them in there

that is what i have done thanks but i cant understand why it will only work if i format card in a camera not the imac ??

can't remember if its mac compatible, maybe camera does not format it as mac does on its file system

I have had this only once (on a hard drive) but I had to remove the hard drive from the mac after the format, then reinsert it and put the files on - it worked fine. Before I formatted and just added files and although I could see them they were somehow corrupted?
