i have been trying to do a slim xbox mod but now i get the error 12 since im leaving the DVD drive out but i dont know how to make that not happen its a soft modded system with evolution X

You can't do a slim without the dvd drive unless you have a modchip installed.

If you are looking to do a slimbox, you use the modchip to flash a bios that doesn't include the DVD check.
