memory stick problem caused by firmwere, need help?

i updated my psp 1000 from 3.71cfw to 4.01ofw and after i tried to update it to 4.01 m33-2. when i went to mms to start 4.01 m33-2 it shows that "there are no games, or music, images" i verified mms on pc and it works, i have iso games, mp3, images on it and at information /\ shows that mms is magic gate suppoted.
Now i still have 4.01 ofw, but i can't use my mms anymore. anything i put on it, psp won't recognize.
Please help!

mms is used 4unbricking and downgrading, its not used 4 normal gaming. u hav ofw so any games or homebrew on ur stick isnt going 2 show up. btw yd u upgrade 2 ofw

ok, but now why i can't updated to 4.01 m33-2 cfw?
i had copied eboot.pbp file to x:/psp/game/update and i see nothing on psp when i try to begin the update.
please help!

cuz ur in ofw anythin u put in gam dnt show up. u need 2 make pandora batt and mms... how many psp batts do u hv ill walk u thru the proccess

if u only hav 1 battery ur outa luck unless u no sum1 with cfw or wanna ruin ur 1 battery.
as for the mms there a link in my sig but i need 2 no wat fw ur gonna try 2 jump 2 in order 2 guide u in using the simple mms maker or the Ultra Lite

turn ur psp off then boot it up again while holding r and c if u go into recovery menu if u do good job u hav a cfw psp :D

wat do u mean? o ur in cfw and ur games still wnt load up in xmb ok umm just plug in ur psp 2 usb and copy all games and homebrew u hav in ur mem stick 2 ur pc and thatll backup ur ms and then go 2 ur sys sett and format ur stick then put it all back on ur ms
u dnt wanna just b gaming w a magic memory stick cuz its programmed 2 unbrick or downgrade a psp. u wnt ruin it but u dnt want any random files in ur ms 2go missing 4 sum reason

i have 2 mms(one 2gb, two 8gb) i formated first, than copyed some files on it(mp3) and still nothing. the firmware that i have installed on psp (4.01 m33) i did with 8gb mms. \does it matter this?

no but wen u say mms do u mean memory stick or magic memory stick
a magic memory stick is a ms with a pandora battery program installed on it 2run in combo 2with the battery
if u dnt hav those programs installed then its just a memory stick
so even wen u put the update folders in ur psp it dnt sho in xmb?
try goin into rcovery menu and go into config and tell me all the sttings the options r set 2

ok great good job ur the 1 who did it, i didnt touch a thing ;D
happy hacking from here on out. if u need any more help lemme no and u should now b upgrading higher 500m33-6 is recommended but 550gen-b2 is wat cfw u need 2 play newer isos
ill walk u thru patchin the newer games if u need help...

i upgraded it to 5.00 m33-6 and should i go for 5.50?
which are the good and parts of these 2?
i'm using more at work when i don't have what 2 do 4 playng games!!!

well 500 is more stable and all homebrew works, and only get 2 play games up 2 fw500
in 550 its more opt 2 crash during games and flashes while u lose most homebrew, not all tho and u get 2 play games requiring ofw 600
i think u should go up and stay for a while and then use Hell Cats Recovery Flasher 1.6 2 downgrade back 2 500 if u dont like it

have you pressed select and set up the VSH menu when you are on the psp homepage, when i upgraded firmware once it reset the settings to default and not what i set them up as. did you make the MMS or did you buy it, i backed up my stick made the MMS used it to upgrade then formatted the stick and put it back to original state via backup.

we got it, we just didnt check if he had cfw, then he got into recovery and all he had 2 do was format his ms in psp. he did it b4 in his pc but it was messd^ but now we got it
