I tried to back up Taxi 3 using Xcopy Xpress, DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. All three crap out part way through. The message DVD Decrypter gave was this:

I?O Error!

Interpretation: Unrecovered Read Error

I got the same error running Decrypter in default settings and when I set it according to the Guide. Any suggestions on what's up? this is the first time I haven't been able to do a backup.

Hi pigouinos
I think your disc has a scratch or is dirty. Give a look see and a quick clean and see if that changes things

the disc is brand new.. i looked for scratches etc. but found nothing. Actually i have succesfully ripped alla the files apart from one VOB file.. I tried after that whole procces to rip this file only and the same problem appeared..

in addition i tried to play (watch) this VOB only and the movie /w sound were absolutely fine.

Sometimes bad discs get out of the factory, I would venture to say you have one since all three programs you've tried failed with it. Bad facroty discs will usually play fine but when you try to extract the data it will cause an error.

If the discs is new I'd suggest returning it for a new one.
