3.3E Wii with 1.9s... a little help upgrading firmware...

Ok, I'm sorry guys/girls but I have not even bothered to turn on my wii for the last year or so until now, to play the New Super Mario Bro.

But I've been out of the loop for a long time now, and from what I understand through this forum auto-updating to 4.2 on the disc will brick me, right? Can I just use that old update blocker, or no?

Also, I understand USB loaders work now? Just slap them on a USB drive, plug it in, and run the app from the Hombrew Channel?

And should I bother updating to 4.2? What is the best way to upgrade if I'm at 3.3 with a 1.9s chip?

Sorry for all these newb questions, I appreciate any help you guys/girls can give. Thank you.

Please, I could really use some help. I still have the aforementioned versions, and after attempting to follow this: http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-games/28589-...mario-bros.html

I've tried to install several things via the ol' WadManager, by everything gives me the error (ret=-1029) and I can't get anywhere.

Any help would really be appreciated. I'd really like to play this game. Thanks.
