Ok I need to figure out how to edit and cut out etc the files or parts i have recorded and finalized on my dvd+r mini disk that i do not want.

I have the disk in my computer with all vob files, but how do i cut out certain parts i want and parts i do not want and then make them all one video to upload for my school project?

I tried virtual dub which will convert it to avi for me but no sound plus i want to cut takes that we messed up on and condense it.

Thanks ahead of time and i hope i can find some help!!!!

If you are familiar with VirtualDub - you are aware it saves as avi only.

If you don't select a video compressor (XviD is one) - the output will be uncompressed, the files will be huge.

If you are working with AC3 audio you should install the AC-3ACM Codec and the AC-3 Filter plugin.

use videoredotvsuite, the demo can save up to a max of 30 minutes.

That's a warning - not necessarily fatal.
Are you ensuring that the entire Title is being loaded in VirtualDub.
Once loaded, can you search through the entire title (holding down 'Shift' and using the slider control).

It's to ensure that all the related files are loaded.
You should be using the latest version.
If time is pressing, you can search or post at the VirtualDub forum.
They are quite responsive.

Try freeware AviDemux.
- or payware Womble - I think it lets you try and buy.

The "source"??? - that's the VOB file VTS_01_1.VOB, you drag it onto the window or click 'File' or 'Open'.

If you mean the settings on the left side of the window (assuming you want AVI) - 'Video' would be 'MPEG4 XviD'
'Audio' could stay at 'Copy' else select mp3.
